Thanks to nature, every diamond is unique. This is due usually to neighboring materials trapped inside during the crystallization process . These characteristics, often called flaws, are better described as birthmarks or nature's fingerprints.

To determine a diamond's clarity, it is examined using 10x magnification by a trained eye, and then graded as per the chart alongside. The number, position, size and color of the birthmarks, also referred to as inclusions, determine the clarity grade of a diamond.

The fewer the birthmarks or inclusions, the more rarer it will be graded, since it will reflect more light and sparkle that much better.
